The Climate Change Agreement (CCA) is a voluntary UK program that encourages energy-intensive industries and sectors holding an envirnomental permit to improve their energy efficiency. In exchange of meeting agreed upon energy efficiency targets, eligible businesses will receive a significant reduction on the Climate Change Levy.
Whether you’re in pig, poultry or horticulture sectors, the CCA can transform both your finances, environmental footprint and help you save up to 92% of electricity and 89% on gas.
To join, your business must:
- Operate in an eligible sector (e.g, rearing pig or poultry or growing crops within a protected environment).
- Commit to set energy efficiency targets.
- Report energy use and progress periodically.
- Evidence 70% or more of your energy is used on eligible processes (rearingof pig and poultry and growing crops for horticulture)
