The fuel sustainability requirements for renewable heat incentive (RHI) are getting near. All participants should be aware that the regulations come into effect on 5th October, and will apply to all fuels used in accredited systems from this date.
We’ve heard that significant delays are occurring at Ofgem and the Biomass Suppliers List (BSL) because of the large volumes of work which they have to deal with in this area. So if you haven’t already acted, make sure you do as soon as possible to avoid delays to your payments.
Here’s a quick look at what you should have prepared by now:
- Sourced your wood fuel from a BSL registered supplier.
- Registered on the BSL if you supply your own wood fuel.
- Submitted your fuel measurement and sampling questionnaire to Ofgem if you are self-reporting.
- Prepare your land criteria evidence if you are self-reporting.
