Be aware - Some supplier/brokers are offering rates for contracts that include the government discount, but as this discount is only available until March 2023 these rates are very misleading. We strongly advise that you read the small print on any contract that offers you under 30p per kwh. If you have been offered a contract like this, it could have an end date of 31/03/23 or there will be a significant rate rise on 01/04/23. Make sure you ask if the rate is fixed for 6-12 months and if it isn’t then then make sure you understand what the rates will be once the government help has expired. The general rule is (as it always is) - if it looks too good to be true then it most probably is.
